Brief Introduction of Discipline
Heating, Gas Supplying, Ventilating and Air conditioning Engineering is an engineering subject with very strong technicality and practicality. With the technical development of Building Energy Conservation,
Research Direction
1.New technology of air conditioning and refrigeration
2.Renewable energy usage and building energy saving
3.Built environment and building intelligence
4.Advanced design and optimization of HVAC systems
5.IAQ and air cleaning technology
Training Objectives
The students will build a solid, broad, and theoretical foundation, have systematic and in-depth expertise in Heating, Gas Supplying, Ventilating and Air conditioning, and have the ability of conducting scientific research and solving the technical problems independently. They will be competent for teaching and scientific research, technical innovation and equipment development, and engineering management. The graduated students will be proficient in at least one foreign language.
Training Period
Generally, the students are expected to graduate in 3 or 4 years, longest may delay for 6 years.
Credit Requirements and Curriculum (see attached list)
Confirmation Report
The confirmation report was required to be complete within the fourth semester and get approved by 5 related experts. Students can apply for the thesis defense at least one year after the confirmation.
Mid-term Assessment
The mid-term assessment is held in the fourth semester. According to the gained credits and confirmation report, the mid-term assessment needs to be scored abide by relevant provisions of graduate school.
Dissertation
〔Literature reading requirements, thesis written request, publication achievement requirements etc.〕
Literature Reading (for reference only, the same below)
Students are required to read at least 50 literatures on topics related to their dissertation and research direction including 20 literatures in foreign languages and to write a literature overview.
Dissertation Writing
In addition to compliance with the provisions of school, dissertation must be written in a systematic and complete manner, presenting clear concepts, correct argument, realistic description, concise writing structure, smooth and concise writing style, correct calculation, reliable data, and clear icons.
Dissertation Evaluation
The dissertation should have certain depth and breadth. The following requirements should be achieved: have obvious innovation, reach the international advanced level in some part of the content, and have certain coverage. The findings presented in the dissertation should show the recent discovery, the new opinion, and certain guiding sense to this discipline's academic development. Students are required to conduct at least 2 years research and to publish at least 3 papers in journals included in the List of Important Journal for Academic Degree and Graduate Education of Southeast University before being eligible for applying for a doctor's degree. Students should publish at least 3 papers as the first author, or 2 papers as the first author plus another as the second author. At least one of the papers be either indexed by SCI or published in an indexed journal with an impact factor over 2.0. The first affiliation of the academic paper must be
