I. Training Objectives

 

This major aims to equip graduates with basic theory of engineering thermophysics and nuclear engineering, provide advanced engineering and technical personnel to engage in designing, development, operation, application and management of nuclear engineering or other relevant areas.

 

II. Basic requirements

Graduates should learn the basic theory of engineering thermophysics, nuclear engineering and technology as well as be practical trained. Moreover, graduates should also acquire the basic ability in experimental research, design, construction, operating and management of nuclear engineering and technology.

 

III. Knowledge, ability and quality the graduates should acquire

1. Graduates should master the basic theory of natural science, humanities, art and sociology. Besides, the oral and literal communication skills are also required in graduates.

2. Graduates should systematicaly master broad basic technology theory of the major, including fundamental knowledge of mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics, mechanics, engineering thermophysics, hydrodynamics, nuclear technology and engineering.

3. Graduates should be practical trained in nuclear technology and engineering, be proficient in English and have a working knowledge of computer science.

4. Graduate should have strong self-learning ability, creativity and high level of comprehensive quality.

5. Graduates should grasp one foreign language, can consult domestic and foreign technique literature, keep themselves well informed of the state-of-art development in chemical as well as the development of new technology and equipment.

6. Graduates should have dedicating and pioneering spirit, good literacy, healthy body and psychological quality, creativity, the ability to independently acquire new knowledge, to be comprehensively developed in all aspects.

X. Graduation credit and GPA requirements

According to credit management and bachelor's degree awarded regulations of Southeast University, the minimum 150 credits are required to graduate. Under the condition of graduation requirements, if qualified on Southeast University English Language Learning Standards and Grade Point Average≥ 2.0, a bachelor's degree in engineering can be granted.
