To deepen university-local collaborative innovation and promote the efficient transformation of scientific and technological achievements in the energy and environment sector, a delegation led by He Yi and Feng Bing, Deputy District Governors of the People's Government of Jiangning District, Nanjing, visited the School of Energy and Environment (SEUEE) of Southeast University on March 20, 2026. A symposium was held in Conference Room 1220, Energy and Environment Building, Jiulonghu Campus.

Huang Yaji, Secretary of the Party Committee of SEUEE, Gong Feng, Deputy Secretary and Vice Dean (concurrently), Liang Cai, Zhao Dongliang and Cheng Xinbing, Vice Deans, as well as leaders or representatives of various research teams attended the meeting.
At the symposium, Secretary Huang Yaji, on behalf of SEUEE, expressed gratitude to the Jiangning District Government and relevant departments for their long-term support, and gave a comprehensive introduction to the school's discipline construction, research platforms, talent team, core achievements and development plans.
Focusing on low-carbon energy transition, ecological environment governance, and "dual carbon" technological innovation, SEUEE has developed a number of scientifically impactful research achievements, laying a solid foundation for in-depth integration with local industries. The Jiangsu Center of the National University Regional Technology Transfer and Transformation Center for Information and Communications introduced its functions and cooperation intentions, providing professional support for the achievement transformation of SEUEE.
The Science and Technology Bureau of Jiangning District presented an overview of the district's scientific and technological innovation, and elaborated on the Measures for the Administration of Special Funds for High-Value Scientific and Technological Achievement Transformation in Jiangning District, Nanjing, offering clear policy guidance for the implementation and industrialization of research projects of SEUEE.
During the discussion session, 20 research teams of SEUEE, including those on pollution reduction and carbon reduction, resource utilization, green energy, high-value utilization of green carbon resources, efficient heat flow and low-carbon energy utilization, and safety and intelligent operation and maintenance of power generation equipment, presented their research directions, core technologies and demands for landing and development in Jiangning.
Departments including the District Science and Technology Bureau, Industry and Information Technology Bureau, Ecology and Environment Bureau, and Talent Group responded on the spot, conducting in-depth communication on talent introduction and cultivation, project incubation, platform co-construction and fund support, and reaching a number of cooperation consensuses.
Deputy District Governors He Yi and Feng Bing stated that Jiangning District would continue to optimize the innovation ecosystem, fully support the transformation and landing of high-quality achievements of SEUEE in Jiangning, and promote the precise matching and in-depth integration of more cutting-edge technologies with local industries.
This symposium has further consolidated the cooperation foundation between SEUEE and Jiangning District. In the future, SEUEE will continue to base itself on the national "dual carbon" strategy and local development needs, give full play to its disciplinary and talent advantages, deepen regular university-local cooperation, and drive more high-level scientific research achievements out of laboratories into industrialization, contributing to the high-quality development of the region and technological progress of the industry.
