National Natural Science Foundation of China, which has broad categories of foundational investigation projects, is a national foundation for natural science researchers. The project setting of the NSFC contains the General Program; Key Program; Major Program ;Youth Programs and etc., which is suitable for both the senior and young researchers.
Energy and Environment School of Southeast University has undertook hundreds of programs from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and made a continual improvement on both the number of program items and the total sum of research funding during the past years. In year 2012, we had 10 General Programs and 8 Youth Programs; and in the year 2013, we have 1 sub project for the Major Program of NSFC, as well as 8 General Programs and 6 Youth Programs.
Meanwhile, our school has also made significant breakthrough in the talent plan of NSFC these years, in the year 2012, Prof. Chen Yongping has won the excellent young scientist fundation of NSFC, and in the year 2013, Prof. Zhong Wenqi has won the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholar.
